Live Video Stream on YouTube is the first app for Android able to cascade multiple special effects in live streams to YouTube.

Various themed stickers can be added in addition to the effects.

The number of applied effects is limited only by the GPU performance of the device.

Note: The YouTube account needs to be verified by phone in order "Stream Now" feature to be enabled.

Login screen

From this screen you can login to the desired Google account.

Click the blue button saying "Sign in with Google". You will be presented with the standard "Choose an account" dialog for the available Google accounts. New accounts can be added to the already registered ones.

Click the button "Share watch url" in the bottom.
Click the red circle button button in the middle.

Streaming screen

From this screen you can make the preview and the actual streaming.

  • The preview screen will give a choice of front or back camera.
  • The desired effects can be selected by tapping on the top left button.
  • The desired sticker can be selected by tapping on the bottom left button.
  • Once you are ready to go, click the red "Start" button on the right.
  • The total time and output size are displayed at the bottom.
  • Pinching the screen changes the zoom level.
  • To stop the streaming, click the grey "Stop" button on the right.

FAQ
YouTube feature 'Stream Now' needs to be enabled in Live Dashboard in order live streaming to be used.

Live Effects on YouTube requires a device running Android 4.3 or newer, due to the use of API for hardware accelerated encoding.
Live Effects on YouTube asks the encoder to send key frames every two seconds. However, on some devices the hardware is not able to meet the required performance.
On-the-fly special effects require additional GPU power, which limits the possible frame resolution.
